Our Founding Influencer, boxing insider, Michael A. Montoya, started boxing at a very young age in Dallas, Texas. He followed in his father’s footsteps as a Golden Gloves Champion and in 1984 was invited to participate in the Olympic trials. Since then, Michael has been a manager, promoter, trainer, and all-around boxing advocate. The Montoya Boxing Gym is the oldest in the Dallas area and helps people of all ages enjoy the sport. Michael says that if they can help keep one child off the streets, they’ve done their jobs. Michael, and athletes like him, are who we really need as role models to our youth.
